In Love & War

Members of the Travis lab here at Florida State, along with collaborators across the country have recently published a paper linked below that delves into the interesting topics of morphometric and

phylogenetic basis of ornamentation, and the evolution of male display behavior, in livebearing fish. Measuring dorsal fin exaggeration with a continuous index of ornamentation and molecular dating were quite a challenge, but we think we've got some pretty cool results.

So check out the link RIGHT HERE to check out the paper, fresh off the press in January in the journal Evolution! Hope you enjoy, and check back again next month for another paper of the month!
